I'm dreaming of a white Christmas with every Christmas card I write
I didn't even attempt the scanner, just went straight to taking pics of the Christmas cards. The boys did a really good job on these. I don't know who would actually send these out. I think I might frame them for the hockey room.
First... the back of the cards:
Isn't that awesome? Each card has the players sig on the back. I chose to show Petr because well he is my Pru!!! And I own his jersey now.
Not all that impressed with Dan Winnik's. He went kind of light with the Crayons. Even in person it is difficult to see.
Vandy-tron made the only non-horizontal card. Love it! I love his stars, with the black and the color and I adore the paw prints. But who decided Vandy was responsible enough for something other then Crayons??
Lombo! I like the cute lil smiley face and ears you gave the snowman. I have to say... he made one of the best hat for snowmen out of everyone.
Scottie: Creative with the little skater dude. Skater dude has some good hair, definitely not a $6 Fiddy haircut. Not sure where you were going with what looks like a "J". I know, it is really an upside down candy cane but it looks like a J.
Sean Burke. Who knew the goalie coach could draw so well? I like that he incorporated the Coyotes logo into the card.
Petr! Fabulous! This is absolutely my favorite one. His snowflakes are adorable. And he writes in English which makes me think he lies when he says he can't speak English. : D
Tyson... I hate you on tv. I strongly dislike your card. I don't like the "gumdrops" on the house and the tree is a bad shade of green. It looks like it is dying, kind of like two of the plants in my front yard...
Yanz.... I like your snow. And you have a pretty good candy cane. It is much better than Uppy's. You tried to include a little hockey in there with the stick/puck and your number and it added a nice touch.
Taylor! Simple. No need to fill up every white space. Good use of negative space. I like it. I was a bit surprised that you had such an artistic side.
Marty. It reminds me of a kid's drawing. Good use of the blue, did you start of being monochromatic? Then decide that it needed some yellow and red to spice it up?
Vrbata... I love that you used Czech! What a fabulous idea. I like your fat lil snowman and the Pru-like snow flakes.
Boy for whom I do not have a nickname yet... I like that you use your native language. Your tree looks like an 8 year old did it. I got nothing.
LaBarbera. Would have been sweet if you had left off the creepy stick dude. You really are living up to your serial killer looks. You scare me and you suck. Go away. I never wanted you on this team to start with. But I do like your palm tree as a Christmas tree since we are in the desert.
Sami! Very creative and original with the reindeer and the sleigh. Your Santa looks a little evil though. And you said X-Mas instead of Christmas. Makes me laugh. Well done my friend, well done.
Apparently they have now come out with a 4th set to include Doan, Sauer, Tippett, Bissonnette and Bryz. I am not sure if I will pick up the fourth set or not.
