Better late then never

I didn't get around to writing about the losses to Colorado and Dallas, so that is what I will do. I know it's old news but life happens and I didn't get a chance to update. Also, there has been this thing on called the Olympics and I have been helping out over at The Olympic Hockey Blog. If you haven't checked it out yet, you definitely should. There are a bunch of amazing writers helping out and one of our own is even going to the events!

First loss: Colorado. We had a crappy first but Tippett must have given them a what-for because we came back and actually challenged the Avs. It was only 2-1, not too tough of a loss.

I really liked that Colorado acknowledged our Olympians. That was very classy on their part.

Area to work on: Power Play. We went 0-5. That is unacceptable.

Dallas. Ugh, horrible, horrible game. We lost 3-0. In our own building. Come on guys, you are better then this!

The problem was a hit early in the game. Neal went after Prucha and left him unconscious on the ice. Now, the replays I saw showed Neal clearly connecting with the head/neck area of Pru. What made the hit even worse? The ignorant, moronic comments from the Stars club. Yes, not the fans but the actual Stars organization had the gall to blame it on Pru and say things like he couldn't take a hit. Any respect I had for the Stars is gone. I will never cheer for them or any players on the Stars ever again.

Well, after this Marty fought Neal, Paul got into a couple of fights and the boys just tried to hit anything in a Stars jersey. I applaud the fact that they stood up for their teammate, but don't you think Pru would rather you beat the Stars on the scoreboard? I know I would. Pru was taken off the ice on a stretcher (while out cold). The good thing is, he returned to the arena before the end of the game, was walking and talking ok. He had a concussion and the ambiguous upper body injury. Hopefully he is good to go after the Olympic break. if not, Neal better watch it or I will hurt him!

We have one more chane ar Dallas this season boys, lets win it. I'm tired of epically failing to them.

Well, that is all I got for right now. I hope to get a few more posts up before the Olympic break is over. I am working on a picture blog (I need to go through about a zillion pics of mine to find the best ones) and maybe something about the Coyotes who didn't go to the Olympics. I haven't worked that one out yet, so if I don't do it.... don't be mad at me!
