I grew up in Wisconsin and then smartened up & moved to Phoenix for the weather. I hate snow and ice. Unless it's hockey ice.

I love being able to watch hockey in 90 degree weather. Fan-freaking-tatic! Unless you try wearing a jersey in 90 degree weather.

I have the best of both worlds.

I also love music and marry my two obsessions. I try making song lyrics/titles part of every blog post and sometimes make up songs about hockey.

Adirondack Red Wing Burgers E-mail

I noticed quite the trend today. Many people were finding my blog by searching for the "Adirondack Red Wing Burger" featured in the April 2010 Everyday with Rachael Ray. I suppose it was because my Twitter feed had some mention of it and my feed is on my site. I believe I tweeted some joke about not being able to make a burger with the name Red Wing in it but it does sound quite tasty and apparently, many people are interested. I searched her site and could not find a link for you all.

In the magazine Rachael Ray says, "Named for the hockey farm team I used to cheer on some 20 years ago in Glens Falls, New York, these chicken wing-themed burgers are a spicy favorite." (pg 116, April 2010)

I already loved Rachael Ray (her recipes are fabulous) but now I love her even more. She is a hockey fan!

I looked through her magazine and there is a note that says that unauthorized reproduction is prohibited. I will keep looking to see if I can find a link for this fabulous burger. I have also emailed the fine people at Everyday with Rachael Ray to see if I may have permission to post the article here. Stay tuned for an update.

In the meantime, if you want the recipe I suggest you run out and buy the April issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray. There are plenty of other yummy recipes in there besides the Adirondack Red Wing burger. I will let you know if I ever get around to making it...
